Mart Walker was a talented American cartoonist who had a great love of drawing since his childhood and started his career as a cartoonist at the age of 16 by drawing illustrations for various newspapers and magazines.

In 1950, when Walker was 27 years old, his first comic strip was published under the name W. Beetle Bailey, which achieved great success and established him as one of the greatest cartoonists of his time.
