written and drawn by the most influential cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, born in 1922 in Minnesota, United States. He is one of the influential cartoonists who had a passion for drawing since childhood. He was a mediocre student who spent his free time reading and drawing comic pictures.

At age 15, his first drawing of a dog named Spike who eats pins, tacks, and razor blades was featured in ”Ripley’s Believe It or Not”, a newspaper panel founded by Ripley and that also serves as an inspiration for one of his famous characters of Peanuts called Snoopy.

Schulz works in many walks of life. He worked as an instructor at a correspondence school and also served in the 20th Armored Division. He also performed his services as a lettering artist for Timeless Topix which is a Catholic comic magazine. Schulz has won many awards and honors for his precious work in the comic industry including the Elzie Cigar Award, the National Cartoonists Society Humor Comic Strip Award, and the Milton Caniff Lifetime Achievement Award. He is also the first cartoonist who receive the Reuben Award twice.

Death And Legacy Of Schulz :
Schulz delighted his fans by creating comic strips for nearly half a century from 1950 to 2000, and suddenly passed away from colon cancer on February 12, 2000, the day before his last comic strip appeared in newspapers. Although he is gone, his memory will live on in our hearts forever in the form of his comic writings.
Peanut’s Resemblance With Li’I Folks Comics :
In 1947, Schulz created Li’l Folks, a weekly comic strip similar to Peanuts that appeared in Schulz’s local daily newspaper called the St. Paul Pioneer Press that he later sold to United Feature syndicated after facing rejection from other publication organizations. Most of the characters of Li ‘l Folks resemble Peanut characters including Snoopy and charlie brown.

The biggest modification that occurs in the peanut comics is its title. Schulz was not a fan of comic strips named Peanuts, he wanted to change it even after getting so much success. Later he changed the name from Peanuts to Good Old Charlie Brown.

The popularity of Peanuts grew day by day after its first debut and soon became one of the most popular comic strips of all time with a readership of 355 people worldwide. These comic strips are published in 2600 different newspapers in different countries and have been translated into 21 different languages. Peanuts include 17,897 comic strips that appeared in various newspapers over 50 years from 1950 to 2000, making it one of the longest-running comic strips of all time.
