In an interview Mark Tattoli was asked what makes comic strips resonate so much with people? He replied that I do not know the reason. I made comic strips just to entertain myself and pictured my childhood in these comic strips. But readers love different things about Leo that explore the fun yet bizarre realm of imagination of a young child who still believes in magic and monsters that we all have.

Mark Tatulli was awarded the Newspaper Comic Strip Award by the National Cartoonists Society in 2008 for his unique and unrivaled comic strips.
