Written and illustrated by a notable artist, Dave Blazek. He is a rounder artist who besides being a brilliant visual artist, is also a talented writer, illustrator, animator, and radio producer. He created Loose Parts Comics by teaming up with a well-known illustrator, John Gilpin who later left Illustrating the comic strip, and Dave himself wrote and drew the comic strip. For his priceless and most entertaining comic strips, the National Cartoonist Society awarded him with two Reuben awards for being the best cartoonist of the year. Reuben Award is considered the best and highest level award in cartooning.

Dave Blazek’s Journey To Success :


Talking about Dave Blazek’s journey to becoming a notable cartoonist, he wasn’t a big fan of comics. Unlike other talented cartoonists who dreamed of becoming a cartoonist from a young age, Dave was a child who had no interest in fine arts and never thought of becoming an artist even once in his life. He never received art training or attended an art school.

He began drawing at the age of 43 when the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper, for which he worked as a graphic artist, suggested that should he try writing comic strips and this is how he became a cartoonist. And introduced the world to one of the most amazing comic strips ever. To date, he has expertly written approximately 9,500 comic strips that appear in over 120 newspapers in various markets across Canada and the United States of America.

His journey didn’t stop here, he is still working day to night to provide the people with more such comics along with works in other areas of life.
